Empuptry: Creative Learning Workshops for Young Minds

Introduction:

We get a chance to meet some truly amazing kids during our Empuptry Workshops! Their attentiveness, creativity, and enthusiasm make our day unforgettable, and their final performances absolutely blow us away. At 1202Kids Foundation, we believe in giving children the space to connect, share, and express themselves in new ways. Our Empuptry Workshops bring these ideas to life as each child explore unique ways to bring their puppets to life. 

1. Bringing Characters to Life:

At the Empuptry Workshop, each child received their very own felt puppet, complete with accessories to add personal flair. Kids also picked out an “emotion card” that served as their guide, with fun one-liners and simple scenes printed on the back. These cards gave them an easy way to explore different expressions and let their puppets “speak” in relatable, meaningful ways.

2. Teamwork and Performances:

With 15 kids in total, we created three groups of five, each group collaborating to prepare a mini-performance. During the final show, the creative learning workshops for young minds used their puppets to speak the lines from their cards, bringing short scenes to life with enthusiasm and creativity. Their group presentations reflected a shared journey, full of laughter and memorable moments. Check out some of our favorite snapshots from the day shown below and more here. The Empuptry Workshop provided kids with a supportive and uplifting experience that encouraged self-expression and the joy of creative play. It’s about showing kids that they each have something unique to share, and that connecting with others can be fun and fulfilling.
